Time Recording cannot open this file

This message comes up because of Internet Explorer's Intranet Settings.  It often comes up on 'peer-to-peer' networks.

  1. Open Internet Explorer.
  2. Select [Tools] then select [Internet Options]
  3. Click on the [Security] tab.
  4. Where it says "Select a zone to view or change" select the icon [Local Intranet]
  5. Click on the command button labelled [Sites]
  6. Untick the box [Automatically detect intranet network] BUT make sure that the three boxes below ARE ticked.
  7. Click [OK] and then click [OK] on the options form.

Repeat the above on every computer on your network and then enter the full path of the datafile (including file name and the file extension) again.
